The Company:
Our client is engaged in the construction phase of a large LNG project and seeks an HR Generalist.

The Role:

The HR Generalist is primarily responsible for providing HR generalist support to the Company Head Office. Conducts full life cycle recruiting for non-exempt and exempt positions. Provides counsel and interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures. Initiates and monitors day to day HR transactions such as the hiring, transfer, and separation process.

• Identifies, recruits and screens candidates for non-exempt positions and exempt positions, as needed. This includes: Sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews; generating offer letters; conducting reference checks; initiating/monitoring background checks; scheduling pre-employment drug testing; and notifying Hiring Managers of interview status. Ensures timely communication to both internal and external candidates regarding application status.
• Exercises judgment and discretion in addressing and resolving employee inquiries, concerns and policy interpretation. Engages appropriate parties in the resolution process. Provides employees with interpretation and application of Company policies, practices, and programs
• Consults with client groups to anticipate challenges and develop solutions, as well as identify and resolve sensitive situations/issues relating to Company processes and practices. Develops an understanding of clients and their future direction in order to anticipate implications of Company initiatives.
• Provides support to the organization’s training and development activities.
• Assists in the regular review and analysis of compensation issues, including the annual salary planning and bonus calculation process. Serves as primary point of contact for all procedural questions and process navigation.
• Provides support and service in compensation activities such as market data, salary surveys, job evaluation, annual salary administration and bonus development and payout activities.
• Assists manager in performance management activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.


2-5 years of professional level HR experience or equivalent training and/or experience.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:

Knowledge of general HR practices and procedures.
Responsive to client needs.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands for resources.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communications, as well as presentation skills. Proficient in the use of computer applications programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking system.
