The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
For our client we are looking for a Human Resource Associate for a 6 month contract to provide support to the HR department in implementing their strategies throughout the business.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Coordinate training requirements and some training facilitation
• Review employee performance during probationary period with management
• Undertake recruitment initiatives in collaboration with the Central Recruitment Function, and provide support to position owners throughout recruitment process
• Identify appropriate HR contacts within the HR team to leverage SME support where required
• Monitor employee contract requirements including extensions, leave of absences etc
• Liaise with Supervisor groups to provide information on key HR changes and project milestones HR Projects
• Assist Operations HR Team with key HR activities required to transition Project Operations personnel to site throughout 2014.
• Actively participate in monthly Operational Excellence meetings/quarterly workshops
• Document ‘Exception to Policy’ requests as required, to support workforce transition to operations environment
• Coordinate Job Offer Templates and working with expatriate groups to facilitate overseas assignments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will need an Undergraduate Degree level or Diploma level qualification in Human Resources, Industrial/Employee Relations or Organisational Psychology. Faculty of Business, Commerce, Arts or Law would be most relevant.

You will also be required to have a minimum of 4 years HR experience, operating in a generalist capacity at Advisor or Senior Advisor level. You must have experience working as an embedded HR resource within a team of HR professionals. Preferred Previous experience in large organisation with > 500 employees. Proven capability to liaise with both front-line and professional services employees. Previous resources/oil and gas experience would be highly desirable.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

Certification: Required Experience as above Preferred Formal training in the application of the Fair Work Act, exposure to other industrial instruments (eg Modern Awards, Greenfields Agreements etc). Cert IV Training & Assessment (or similar) desirable.
