The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
As a High Voltage Switchgear Technician you will be responsible for the installation / commissioning and servicing of High Voltage Products.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Delivering the site and workshop based element of the Service offering
• Working safely and in full compliance at all times and on all occasions.
• Ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System, Safety Procedures and Accountancy Policies
• Become a valued team member who is equally capable of working alone and working as part of a team.
• Ensure conformity to the Electrical safety Management System.
• Understand the environmental risks associated with the business unit.
• Show flexibility with your working pattern as this role involves working away from base (outside of UK) for set periods of time.
• Interact with all customers to maintain or exceed their expectation of our services
• Be responsive to all customer requests.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Time served Electrician qualified to C&G Standard.
• Working knowledge of Maintenance procedures.
• Strong background in the power sector.
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus.
• Strong people skills.
• National Safety Passport.
• National Grid BESC and competent person
• Good understanding of the CDM regulations and current H&S legislation.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Good High Voltage product knowledge GIS/AIS and GCB.
