The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a HVAC Engineer on a rotation basis for a client based out in Qatar.

Purpose:
Provide HVAC engineering support to HVAC services team

Duties / Accountabilities:
Review, develop and implement design of HVAC systems, including off shore systems.
Develop project and PCR proposals
Undertake spare parts and Preventive maintenance plan reviews
Lead and guide maintenance and project contractors in work planning, preparation and execution.
Support HVAC services team in all aspects of HVAC work as requested.

Key Job Dimensions:
More than 300 specially designed industrial HVAC systems essential to plant operation, including a number of offshore systems situated on two unmanned offshore platforms

Special Challenges:
Working with multiple systems of unique design
Driving quality execution via maintenance and other contractors
Managing risk to the business
Offshore systems

Technical Qualification Requirements:
Through knowledge of the ASHRAE. (NFPA 90A desirable).
Should be able to interpret layout drawings, electrical circuit diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, and fire & gas C&E diagrams.
Should be able to trouble shoot on HVAC equipment independently and should be able to lead, train and coach the team.
Should be able to review the HVAC design calculations & carry out basic designs.
Must be fluent in English (IELTS 7 or above).
Must be able to review and develop technical documents (procedures, work instructions, technical specifications etc).
Sound knowledge on the HVAC spare parts, cataloging etc.
Sound knowledge of Building Management Systems.

Soft Skills – Must be a good team player. Should be able to lead a team of supervisors. Self starter and result oriented leader.

Educational Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services.

Required Experience :
Experience – 10-15 years in Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance of HVAC & R equipment for Oil & Gas establishments.

Terms and Conditions:
Work Schedule: Based on a on a 37/43/13 rotation (13 days leave after 43 calendar days of which 37 worked).
Work Schedule: 6 days On/1 day Off at 8 hours a day
Accommodation and Transportation: Company Provided OR Allowance
Mobilization and Demobilization Tickets PLUS 2 rotational economy class flights per year to be reimbursed at cost.
Work Location: Ras Laffan
Contract Duration: 18 month extendable to 24 months
Expected Mobilization Date - ASAP

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
