The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
"The Hybrid Calibration Leader is responsible for delivery of the overall Hybrid System Calibration.

This involves planning and coordinating all test and development activities and coordinating these activities to make sure the plans can be delivered in the required timeframe.
This role also has responsibility for managing all internal issues and working with the team to ensure timely resolution.
The role also has responsibility of representing Hybrid Calibration outside of the team and department including working towards ensuring common and compatible plans, joint issue resolution, participating in drive assessment events, feedback and managing major issues in appropriate forums.
Depending on the candidate the Calibration Lead may also assume responsibility for delivery of part of the Calibration with a focus on emissions, CO2, driveability or high voltage limit control.
The project may involve one or more of the following, HIL rig, Powertrain test cell and vehicle.
The role involves working closely with the software design team, developing and managing a calibration to meet the program targets in the required time frame. "


Experience Required:
•Previous Calibration experience - transmissions, engines, hybrid Prototype vehicle development activities
•Knowledge of Control Systems Full UK driving license (or equivalent to which enables UK driving)
•ETAS INCA or equivalent AVL CRETA or similar calibration management software

Experience Preferred:
•Hybrid Vehicle Energy Management Automotive Torque Control Development vehicle commissioning
•Electrical integration experience Knowledge of JLR Project Management systems such as GPDS, GTDS, eFDVS is desirable.
•ROSPA or IMA driver training courses would be beneficial but not essential Prior or other OEM Driver training would be beneficial but not essential Matlab / Simulink

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

•Previous Calibration experience - transmissions, engines or hybrid
•Team Leadership in software or calibration environment for example leading an automotive calibration project
•Experience of automotive attribute development which includes one of fuel economy or driveability
