The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.

The Role:
Reporting to the Technical Training Development Manager, the primary role will be to design and produce HEV adult technical training to the very highest standard. The end product will be delivered to our clients key customer, a manufacturer of luxury premium brand vehicles. Your ideas and design will meet a standard that encourages stimulative learning to develop dealership technicians globally.

Upon completion of a project you will deliver a pilot handing over a complete course package to our clients customer.

The secondary role will encompass supporting a key customer in all areas with the introduction, roll-out and continued support of HEV’s. Key areas will include:
• Ensuring all areas of the business, including the global dealer network, are fully aware of, and working to, the necessary Health and Safety guidelines.
• Ensuring all areas of the business, including the global dealer network, are fully prepared to meet the challenges of supporting HEV’s with respect to certification, facilities, tools and specialist equipment.
• Offer general support and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all areas of Semcon Informatic and our customers.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Source information and communicate at a professional level to vehicle engineering and brand personnel
• Utilise CAD data and software tools
• Author text and activities to simplify complex systems
• Design draft graphics/animations to support your work to issue to technical illustrators
• Develop stimulating practical activities
• Produce effective PowerPoint presentations
• Deliver the end product to ‘Train the Trainer’
• Organise and roll out appropriate training and certification
• Attend meetings, representing a key customer as an SME
• Work with multiple areas of the business to ensure class leading HEV support
• Work to tight deadlines
• Work under your own initiative with minimal supervision.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will possibly be a technical trainer currently involved in course design looking to progress into full-time development. You will join and work within an established development team environment but will also be expected to work independently. A very keen eye for detail and quality is essential.

To be successful in this role you must have:
• Extensive HEV experience and knowledge
• At least 5 years’ experience in technical training
• Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills
• The ability to prioritise your own workload and deliver to agreed deadlines
• A working knowledge of MS office programmes
• Strong IT skills in general
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written
• Good organisational and time management skills
• A positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach
• Experience in XML authoring software (not essential)

Expected Qualifications:
• IMI Level 3 Award in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Repair and Replacement (or equivalent qualification)
• HNC/Cit
