The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Hybrid Propulsion System Design Engineer. Position is based in the Electrified Propulsion System Design Team within the Powertrain Department. The team is located at Gaydon technical centre whilst working extensively with teams at other sites. Working as part a team the chosen candidate will be responsible for the design of key system features: Capturing and documenting system requirements in a robust manner. Cascading system requirements to sub-systems within/outside the Powertrain department. Use case development to aid in system definition. Delivering efficient technical solutions to cross functional problems. Ensuring all robustness / quality processes are followed and built in to the system design. Working closely with the system and functional safety leads. Liaising across departments to ensure Hybrid system functionality is delivered correctly.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. - Valid UK driving licence. Experience in delivering complex systems. Experience of systems engineering and/or complex system integration. The candidate should be qualified to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent levels of training & experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Strong communication skills. Strong organisational skills. A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement. Knowledge of hybrid systems, especially HV batteries, power electronics and control systems. Knowledge of requirements management software I.e. Doors.
