The Company:
Our client is a global, pioneering operator with continued growth in Australia developing large gas resources and maintaining a substantial exploration portfolio. The Role:
We are looking for an experienced IT Service Assurance Manager who will be accountable for maintaining close contacts with the user groups, business interface and application portfolio teams, to identify service demands and new opportunities for IT services and to receive their feedback on the delivery of IT services operations (ITSO).

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assuring services are delivered according to Service Level Agreements, reporting deviations from agreed targets, collecting feedback from the users and reporting the user experience and escalating serious service incidents that threaten business continuity with the Integration Managers in SM&I, assisting with incident and problem resolution.
• Focal point for change management, including communications on infrastructure matters, and for major incident/problem management.
• Proposing and communicating agreed business demand policies.
• Participating in the Request to Pay process, ensuring service requests are approved, service receipts are confirmed and payments are authorized.
• Owning the local assets inventory, local spend and local contracts required for service delivery.
• Ensuring security and compliance activities are executed in line with compliance requirements.
• Ensuring adequate business controls are in place across the processes used in support of the site infrastructure delivery including Controlling of the contract expenditure.
• Reporting the services demand forecast and the new/changed requirements together with the outline solutions to the infrastructure planners for the site.
• Calling in the help of domain expertise to outline the solution that responds to new or changed business requirements.
• Managing the relationship with the business, ensuring demand and new/changed requirements are identified and monitoring and reporting on the performance and quality of services delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree with at least 7-10 years work experience in IT.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Broad understanding of the Oil industry business
• Evidence of strong relationship and influencing skills with people at all levels in the organization and in diverse cultures.
• Ability to work with other disciplines in a global environment, and to bridge technical, commercial and IM/IT skills.
• Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients.
• Strong organizational skills and manage remote IT resources as well as coordinate regional resources and initiatives.
• Excellent understanding of project management, project finance and TCO.
• Broad knowledge of infrastructure and application service offerings.
• Ability to work effectively and maintain composure under pressure
• Experience with running offshore operations or an equivalent operations in the oil industry
