The Company:
Our client is a "super-major" operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
IT&C Category Lead

The project is a development plant to increase production on a giant oil field from 1.25 mbpd to 1.85, then 2.85 over the next five years.

The Joint Venture has approximately $2.5bn third party annual spend. This spend is regulated by commercial Supply Contracts covering all aspects of JV’s operations (e.g. wells, operations, greenfield and brownfield development, infrastructure projects and indirect procurement).

The PSCM Indirect Procurement team provides support across IT&C, Contingent Labour, Professional Services and Security. The key challenges for the IT&C team are ensuring that full and timely support is provided to the IT operations in Iraq whilst satisfying the framework for cost recovery under which the Iraq region operates. This encompasses a diverse range of IT&C stakeholders across both Sunbury and Iraq.

The PSCM Category Specialist – IT&C will take ownership of projects as allocated by the Category Lead, supporting the Iraq IT team. This role will include sourcing and contracting for telecoms, software, hardware and service agreements that are needed to support the teams in both Iraq and Sunbury and ensuring that end users and PSCM are fully aligned and working towards agreed plans. The PSCM Category Specialist will be expected to work closely with Global IT&S and Indirect procurement to ensure alignment with client master contracts, in addition supporting other indirect categories managed within the business services portfolio.

The Iraq Region utilises Ariba for all sourcing activity. Applicants should be aware of and experienced in applying best practice category management and sourcing processes.

• Ensure on time delivery of the assigned sourcing projects. Work on other ITC category projects as and when required
• Follow PSCM standards, systems and processes to ensure compliance, control and best practice and will adhere to the client's Code of Conduct at all times
• Work to ensure that the IT&C Category complies with, submits and adheres to the client’s required governance processes (CRC, CMC, JMC) by developing strategies, bid lists, bid evaluations to ensure partner approval, investment and cost recovery

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Strong working knowledge of Contracts and negotiation practices.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing, advantage if this has been within ITC category.
• End to end sourcing & tendering experience, including use of e- sourcing tools e.g. Ariba.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good work ethos and willingness to adapt readily to the challenges this fast paced region brings
