The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
Our client is currently recruiting for a ICT Control Systems Engineer to join the team in Perth. This position is accountable for ensuring that the PCS and all packaged equipment control systems on the project facility are fully tested and integrated with the facility wide control and safety systems. Accountable for coordinating, implementing, testing the interface, and ensuring that the PAS is ready for safe start-up.
• Manage the interface design between the integrated control system and the various packaged equipment control systems on the project. This includes subsea control system, turbine or motor driven compressors and generators, power management and load shedding system, custody transfer metering, condition monitoring system, analyzer system
• Ensure the interface design meets all functional and operational objectives including hardwire interface, communication network including serial connections, interface protocols, hardware redundancy, reliability, system capacity and loading.
• Coordinate and manage the scope of supplies and data definition between the packaged vendors and the automation supplier. This includes data types, data packing, time synchronization and alarming.
• Ensure effective alarm suppression techniques are applied for every interface to prevent alarm flooding of the process automation system during abnormal situations or communication failure.
• Perform design/code review of package system including control narratives, operation requirements, logic development including sequencer, diagnostic/alarm data, and HMI.
• Develop and execute mitigation plans to address all equipment packages that are being executed on the non-native process control system.
• Develop and implement leading and lagging metrics for Process Control System scope of work to monitor progress and problem resolution.
• Help manage technical interfaces with third party entities and ensure that communications between interfacing parties are clear, constructive, and open
• Coordinates the validation and testing of subsystems during FAT and SAT to support safe startup, shutdown, normal operation and abnormal situations. This includes logic validation from end to end and correct/all communication data are shown on the human machine interface.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications: Relevant Engineering/Science Degree
• Minimum of 8 years relevant, practical experience, including experience in working with and influencing MAC and EPCM contractors in executing fabrication and commissioning activities.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards is desirable. Practical working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
• Fully competent in complex control and instrument systems including Fieldbus, Yokogawa in particular, as well as ASM control interfaces.
• Creative thinking is required to facilitate solutions in the field.
