The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Key responsibilities will include:
• Ensure alignment and Technical Integration of process control engineering (including safeguarding systems) related activities within the (pre) -Commissioning scope of KJVG.
• Ensure alignment and integration across the overall project including U/S and Initial Start-up Team / OPS with regards to the control and safeguarding systems.
• Support the integrated planning activities of the upstream and downstream precommissioning and commissioning scopes of work in close cooperation with the ICT Planner and planning teams to deliver a logically linked and resource loaded integrated commissioning schedule.
• Review of start-up schedule, strategies, plans and procedures as developed by the Initial Start-up Team / OPS with view of ensure integration and alignment of scope/ sequence of activities and planning
• Identify/follow up on commissioning technical risks and opportunities ensuring effective resolution and follow through any required engineering changes.
• Provide technical input to the upstream and downstream commissioning teams on the more complex Commissioning procedures which require process control engineering input.
• Contribute to an overview and an execution schedule for all performance tests for equipment, processes and overall plant performance.
• Liaise with Fabrication site teams to resolve process control related issues.
• Monitors system and ensures data is accurate for handover.
• Recommends improvement initiatives both safety and technical.
• Assist as required in the development and execution of the Incident Fault Free start–up program Key Accountabilities
• Assist in delivery of overall integrated Commissioning execution schedules for the Gorgon gas chain from well to loading arm
• Assure process control interfaces across the integrated project are aligned and relevant test-plans in place
• Ensure Engineering delivers required test-plans/procedures for the integrated process control testing/commissioning.
• Ensure process control commissioning interfaces during SIMOPS are understood and feasible.
• Provide technical expertise in Commissioning issues as input commissioning manuals and procedures and endorse content related to discipline.
• Build effective and productive working relations with upstream and downstream commissioning teams in your integration role
• Endorses process control design related changes during commissioning phase. Evaluates and solves unique or complex problems via interface with Engineering Team.
• Provide assurance sign off during commissioning execution for discipline area

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics or Mechanical Engineering
At least 4 years working experience in the field of planning/preparation and execution of CSU activities of large Upstream or LNG projects
• Thorough knowledge of CSU business processes such as planning, pre-commissioning, handover, operational acceptance, performance tests
• Competent in Fieldbus / DCS control systems - Yokogawa in particular as well as U/S control interfaces.
• Preferably experience as Process Control Engineer in the oil & gas industry
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Fieldbus / DCS control systems - Yokogawa in particular as well as U/S control interfaces
• The Upstream and Downstream facilities are executed by separate project execution teams and EPCM contractors in multiple locations. This will require exceptional influencing, leadership and planning skills to ensure that the integration and execution of all elements of the project are delivered on schedule.
• The project will utilise multiple engineering centres located in Europe and Asia. The coordination of Commissionig input within these centres will be a significant challenge from an integration, planning and team working perspective.
• The project will utilise multiple construction yards located in Europe/Asia and the execution of Commissioning activities to the same quality standard will be a key success factor for a fault free start-up.
