Our client is a global, pioneering operator with continued growth in Australia developing large gas resources and maintaining a substantial exploration portfolio. Our client is also involved in ground-breaking projects the likes of which the world has never seen before thus confirming their reputation as an innovator in oil and gas technology.

The Role:
For our client we are looking for an IM Business Analyst who is responsible for performing document control and information management activities. You will also be responsible for the identification and definition of the IM needs of the business clients and stakeholders and the determination of IM solutions to meet those needs or resolve business problems. In this role you will be involved in the execution of IM activities in support of business workflows typically within one or more specific business areas.

Other key responsibilities include:
• Deliver project document control against project procedures for internal and external documents, and project correspondence.
• Provide support to the business users related to document publishing and control.
• Maintain relevant Document Control Systems and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), including access provision and permissions protocols for internal and external parties.
• Comply with Company Records Management for Controlled and not-Controlled documents.
• Support the business through the change management journey, driving the embedment of new work practices and assisting in the management of change management processes to ensure that activities are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets.
• Select and use IM methods to establish, clarify and communicate the requirements of information users, their characteristics and tasks and identifies the technical, organisational and physical environment in which complex information processes or repositories will operate.
• Investigate operational requirements and problems, seeking effective IM solutions, with a documents focus, through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes.
• Investigate corporate document requirements and applies analysis and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain document collections and associated components (document metadata and taxonomy structures).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will have:
• Completion of a relevant formal qualification in information and records management, Demonstrated experience working in a commercial IM environment
• Demonstrated experience in eDRMS user administration and permissions access practices. Ideally has experience with LiveLink and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of publishing tools ( e.g. Adobe Acrobat Standard)
• Strong experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
o demonstrated experience in managing the expectations of business users
o demonstrated experience in user training
• Strong Presentation and communication skills
