The Company:
Our client, a major oil and gas operator, seeks an IM Technician to join their team.

The Role:
• Assist the Project Manager with project implementation.
• Responsible for cleaning up, reorganizing, classifying, and migrating process documents within various files plans & systems that will enable faster data search and retrieval.
• Candidate should have some knowledge of the Oil and Gas Business.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to plan and organize work while learning new applications.
• Knowledge of processes, practices and tools of information management such as information classification and record retention practices.
• Requires the ability to use Microsoft Office products especially Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Skill Set:

• Excellent communication and people management skills to interface with non-IT customers in an effective manner.
• Must be able to work in a Team Environment.
• Self-starter and self-motivation traits.
• Quickly able to learn new applications
• Must be able to create and search for folders/files in the Windows Explorer Folder environment
• Ability to prioritize, track, escalate and resolve issues and efficiently process a high volume of information is required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Accuracy, attention to detail and consistency with repetitive tasks
• Minimum three years work experience in RIM
• Able to use the Microsoft Suite, including Outlook
• Expert usage of the MS Excel & Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of a retention schedule

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Certificate from a Junior College, other trade school in Records & Information Management (RIM) or Minimum three years work experience in RIM
• Previous work experience in Oil & Gas (Minimum three years)
• Experience with digital and physical copy records programs and systems
• Knowledge of scanning systems, formats and standards
• Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (i.e. Documentum, SharePoint) and Document Control processes.
