The Company:
Our client is an engine specialist that service and repair a wide range of diesel engines and related equipment.

The Role:
This position reports to In-situ Machining Manager

• Assist in planning and scheduling of manpower within the department.
• Assist in preparing yard entry for various projects.
• Supervise projects as they progress on a technical level and attend to yard meetings where necessary.
• Be able to set up and operate a variety of client’s in-situ machines, to perform precision works as necessary
• Works to be carried out either in client’s premises, or at customers work site be it locally or overseas.
• To be able to lead a team of colleagues if you are the team leader, but also to be able to take instructions if a colleague is the team leader for a job.
• To be able to go for new job inspection. Must be able to travel overseas as, and when required for jobs.
• Must be able to interpret technical drawings and other technical documents to determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Plan and conduct machine tool preventive maintenance as and when required
• Must be able to manage the job within the least possible time frame and coordinate all aspects including cost control, of the job that is assigned by the Department Manager.
• Demonstrates efficient job planning and time scheduling.

Requirements

• At least Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 5 years working experience in Marine environment
• Crankshaft grinding/machining, line-boring knowledge
• Marine industry knowledge
