The Company:
Our global leading client has a Part-Time vacancy for an Industrial Hygiene Technician to be based in Houston.

The Role:
Provide support to IH activities for field monitoring or field assessments, sample and equipment management, and report development. The IH technician will work under the direction of a Houston based Industrial Hygienist to provide exposure monitoring services and support the ongoing Industrial Hygiene programs. Job will require travel within the United States (both onshore and offshore).

Key Responsibilities:

• Exposure monitoring and sample management in accordance with the Industrial Hygiene Field Operations Manual (IHFOM)
• Support entry of exposure monitoring data into existing IH exposure database
• IH equipment calibration, maintenance and repair
• Develop drafts of exposure monitoring/assessment reports
• Maintain exposure assessment campaigns and direct read file management
• Support local implementation of Occupational Health Global Common Systems and Practices
• Work activities to include both onshore and offshore Production operations.
• Includes domestic travel

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree.
Some knowledge public and occupational health issues.
Some technical writing skills for preparation of IH reports.
Experience in inspection and audit techniques for compliance against program requirements.
Basic computer with experience with Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint.
Basic IH sampling skills (media, equipment calibration, full-shift and short term task assessments).
Use and maintenance/repair of IH field monitoring equipment is a plus.
Experience working within cultural diverse and sensitive environments.
Fundamental commitment to achieve continuous improvement in safety and health program outcomes.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organization skills required.
