The Company:
Our client is one of the world's top manufacturers in Commercial Aircraft Seating, with the engineering capacity and experience to design and manufacture high specification seating and interior cabin products.

The Role:
As an Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for the introduction of new and updated products into production via the Industrialisation department, to support Operations as and when required and support the installation into the aircraft

As an Electrical Engineer your daily duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• To liaise with engineering departments to enable the development of electrical systems within the projects undertaken by the department
• To support the Work Breakdown Structure.
• To participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process. Ensure that all necessary follow up actions are taken.
• Support reviews and ensure that appropriate actions are carried out to mitigate risk through the application of appropriate actions via departmental processes
• Work the other departments to ensure that the design solution meets the appropriate airworthiness requirements
• Maintain the engineering quality and integrity of the work produced within their work package
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other departments, customers and suppliers and to manage data transfer
• To support the successful integration of each design element with the product as a whole
• Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines as laid out in BMS documentation
• Check engineering packages and where possible, to gain Authorised Signatory status for their area of expertise.
• Generate and/or revise specifications such as Production Operating Standards
• Undertake other reasonable tasks as requested by your line manager from time to time.
• Capable of working as part of the team but also on own initiative when required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful Electrical Engineer will have demonstrable experience within the following:

• Good aerospace / automotive electrical knowledge
• Good fault finding skills and problem solving
• Good oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS applications and Lotus Notes
• A good knowledge and proven application of Company procedures and best practices
• Experience of the incumbent CAD and data management systems

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes:

• HNC / HND or relevant mechanical qualification in specialised field or suitable depth of relevant experience
• Proven engineering experience in creating effective engineered solutions and providing design input to other team members
• A strong Team player
• The ability to work with a minimal level of supervision and intervention
• Willing to travel to support company objectives
• Driving Licence

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
It is preferred that this candidate will have previous Airline / Passenger aircraft experience.
