The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
• Member of a Perth based multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines procurement, construction and installation activities.
• The subsea system will initially comprise 9 subsea gas wells and 3 subsea manifolds, linked back to the main offshore production facility via a network of large diameter CRA flowlines and controls umbilicals.
• Diverless technology is planned for most installation and intervention activities.
• The export pipeline system comprises a 225km large diameter pipeline from the offshore processing facility to shore.Offshore installation is scheduled to commence in 2013.
• Reporting to the Subsea Installation Coordinator, this individual has particular responsibility for the coordination and technical assurance of all activities associated with the construction and installation of the subsea equipment including subsea structures, pipeline tie-ins, subsea controls and precommissioning. Specific Roles and Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the subsea construction and installation workscope, including installation engineering, structure and spools fabrication, structure loadout and installation, tie-in spool metrology, tie-in spool loadout / installation, mattress installation and recommissioning.
• Assist in coordinating the planning, completion and technical assurance of contract and procurement packages required for execution of the subsea equipment installation scope of work.
• Support subsea team members in the development of fit-for-purpose designs that facilitate optimized installation and intervention activities. Ensure methodologies meet the project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, and project objectives of operability, maintainability, reliability, and life cycle cost. Seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned from other projects.
• Provide support during the Subsea design assurance review process.
• Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule.
• Assist Subsea Installation Coordinator to ensure effective project closeout including documentation at end of each phase.
• Effective interfacing with subsea design, facilities, drilling, commissioning, and start-up personnel.
• Support project wide safety initiatives including development and implementation of an Incident & Injury free (IIF) culture and Safety Management Plan(s).
• Maintain positive and effective working relationship with other upstream coordinators and project work teams, including Platform Facilities Team, Drilling & Completions Team, Operations Team, Technical Services Team and Business Services Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
• 8 Years minimum in subsea equipment / pipelines construction and installation engineering for the oil / gas industry, including both Contractor and Operator roles.
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction and installation (diver and diverless) of subsea equipment associated with the oil / gas industry including structures installation, pipeline tie-ins, umbilicals installation and precommissioning.
• The candidate should have specific offshore installation experience of both diver and diverless installation activities and be able to demonstrate ability to coordinate a complex subsea construction / installation programme.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, ability to achieve milestones, work collaboratively within a project execution team.
• Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture.
