The Company:
Our client is a major Oil and Gas operator and has operations throughout the world.

The Role:
Reporting to the Information Management and Document Control Team Leader.

The Information Management and Document Control Team lead on key areas of the OMS (Operating Management System) Performance Improvement Cycle through maintaining and improving document control practices.

The OMS Information Management Advisor Role forms an essential link with document Technical Authorities and OMS Single Point Accountable persons. Additionally the Role oversees the performance and delivery of services provided by document control contractors.

Key accountabilities;
• Challenge the norm and lead in the standardisation and continuous improvement of Regional document control processes for OMS procedures and practices
• Create and deliver resourced information management annual plans that underpin delivery of longer term Regional strategies. Present annual budget proposals for activities required to be included in Annual Operation Plans
• Be self-directing when defining and managing the delivery of short term and annual information management work scopes
• Provide direction through setting standards for Function and Asset Leadership teams across the North Sea Region in the management of OMS procedures and practices
• Act as Regional owner for managing business implications of change when updates are made to Group or Upstream Practices. Provide guidance to the Engineering Authority
• Define and establish delivery mechanisms for Regional Information Management training programmes
• Put in place KPI’s to monitor document management performance and decide on interventions to ensure ongoing continuous improvement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent professional qualification and experience
• Relevant years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. Preference towards past experience of working with management systems or document control systems in an operations or projects environment
