The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION
Responsible for the coordination of Document Management / Administrative Records elements of the IM program specifically for the E&AA team including the Quality Control of the EA Consultation Database information.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position shall
• Assist with the development and implementation of the Information Management (IM) Plan, procedures and work instructions for the project. IM components shall include Document Control and Records Management
• Provides training to others as requested in the use of IM procedures and work instructions.
• Implements the project File code Index
• Receives direction and works closely with the IM Supervisor to establish and continually improve Information
Management processes.
• Maintain the structural framework for content organization within the Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and provide feedback on the use of the EDMS tools.
• Implement the Access Control Strategy,
• Perform information analysis and quality checks in EDMS as directed.
• Provide IM support at various work places as required.
• Use of training material for reference and provide project support and guidance to end users in the use of EDMS tools.
• requirements such as pick lists, deletion requests, folders, ACLs, groups, end user inquires and requests
• Fills document requests for processing, copying, distribution and managing of document control and administrative records on a daily basis.
• Interface with internal/external submitters of documentation
• Implement document re-production and retention schedules
• Interface with IT to identify and reconcile hardware and software issues.
• Conduct statistical reporting

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Post-secondary education with specialized course work in Information/Records Management or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the Information Management field within an electronic environment on mega projects.

SPECIAL SKILLS, JOB REQUIREMENTS, WORKING CONDITIONS, ETC.
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Able to work effectively with all levels of personnel with tact and diplomacy.
• Able to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and make recommendations.
• Working knowledge of Information Management systems and their applications to include but not limited to document control, records management, retention schedules/archival management.
• Strong customer service orientation and verbal communication skills.
