The Company:
Our client is a major Operator within the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
PLEASE NOTE: This role will initially be based in London for Induction before will then mobilise to Korea.

The objective of Project Information Management is to provide a service to effectively manage and deliver timely and accurate information (documents, data & models) for use in executing the project and in doing so build the ‘digital asset’ for use in Operations.

The purpose of this role is to support this objective by leading the Document Management and Data Management functions at the fabrication yard in Ulsan, S. Korea.

The Information Management/Document Lead reports directly to the Project Services Lead in Ulsan, S.Korea and indirectly to the Project Information Manager in London.

Responsibilities:

The Information Management/Document Lead is responsible for the following:

• Preparing and maintaining local document and data management procedures and work instructions and coaching stakeholders in following them.
• Working with all members of the Site Team to understand the key business processes and suggest/implement ways of improving them either by changing them or complimenting them with supporting IT tools.
• Liaising with the fabrication contractor to resolve document and data delivery issues.
• Coaching the fabrication contractor in the delivery of information, helping him to develop IM processes, ensuring he understands the clients requirements and the interfaces between the contractor’s IM processes and Client’s IM Processes.
• Providing oversight and assurance on contractor information processes and systems, ensuring compliance with client handover requirements.
• Monitoring fabrication contractor document and data controllers to ensure that they are following agreed procedures for maintaining the quality of information in their systems.
• Ensuring the fabrication contractor manages his data supply chain with respect to the tag data handover scope and timing of deliverables.
• Facilitating meetings with the Site Team and the fabrication contractor to review the supply of tag data to meet ‘Ready for FAT’ requirements.
• Liaising with the London based Information Manager to ensure consistency of IM work practices across the Project.
• Collation and transfer of ‘As-built’ technical information (documents and tag data) associated with the fabrication yard scope to the organisation(s) responsible for back-drafting.
• Maintaining active relationships with the project’s engineering, construction and commissioning teams to ensure information accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Development and support of tag data and document status reports.
• Producing information quality reports for resolution by the project.
• Assisting the Site Team with data transfers between software systems such as AVEVA NET and GoC.
• Ensuring effective use of the project standard software tools by providing or coordinating support and training in their use and the work processes they support.
• Expediting timely resolution of performance issues with key software systems such as SHAREcat.
• Ensuring effective use of collaboration tools such as SharePoint and video/voice/web conferencing facilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential:

• Previous experience working in Information Management on large projects
• Conversant with the wider information set (data, documents, models) and its use in
managing projects through the whole project lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, across the whole project irrespective of seniority, organisational or contractual boundaries
• Working as part of a project management team
• Ability to lead small teams
• Engineering tag data management experience
