The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My operator client is currently looking for an Information Resources Specialist. Your responsibilities will include performing;

Information Related:
1. Researches, analyses and synthesises information for clients, and ensures that clients have the tools and capabilities to immediately apply these.
2. Assists Library Coordinator to manage partnerships with other libraries or information services inside or outside the client/
3. Keeps abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the area of copyright compliance
4. Assist with the implementation of strategic objectives and direction Information

Resource Related:
1. Assists with the process of managing library related information, including purchasing, classifying, cataloguing, disseminating and discarding materials.
2. Participates in the development of a dynamic collection of information resources based on an understanding of clients’ information needs, learning requirements, work and business processes.
3. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the content and format of information resources, including the ability to critically evaluate, select and filter them.
4. Maintains current awareness of applicable emerging technologies.

Marketing & Communications Related:
1. Assists Library Coordinator to actively communicate the business value of information resources and services, both formally and informally, through Web and physical communications, presentation, publications and conversations with management, key stakeholders and clients.
2. In collaboration with the Library Coordinator creates innovative information access and delivery solutions.

Training Related:
1. Collaborates with Library Coordinator to develop, design and deliver innovative and responsive training services on information resources and services.

Infolink Operations Related:
1. Assists with operational and financial management processes, value creation metrics, and business controls.

Information Management Team Functional Support:
1. Fosters and supports Information Management best practice
2. Supports Information Management on-boarding and clearance process
3. Develops knowledge and models key behaviours required for effective Information Management practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 5+ years in a similar role, preferably within the Exploration & Production industry
• Degree in an Information Management related discipline (specifically Librarianship)
• Thorough understanding of the principles, practices and techniques of Library management (paper, electronic and online service providers), and experience of successful Library solution implementation (technology and process based)
• Demonstrated understanding of applicable Web 2.0 and social networking tools and technologies in a corporate library environment
• Strong customer focus, good stakeholder engagement skills, Excellent communication skills, including liaison, consultation and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of how to effectively introduce change in a complex environment, together with demonstrated capacity to learn new skills and integrate new knowledge into existing work activities.
• Methodical and practical approach to issue prevention and problem solving
