The Company:
is a large operator working on major projects globally.

The Role:
Dubai residency commuting to Iraq on a 5 days on/2 days off basis

- To lead the implementation and communication of all security polices, procedures, standards and guidelines, and ensure that information security policy, standards and responsibilities are embedded.
- To co-ordinate the review and appraisal mechanisms to identify and correct and deficiencies or non-conformities with the information security standard, and ensure a regular cycle of security reviews.
- To review and ensure regularly the implementation and follow up of the IS security standards through the use of dashboards and follow up reports, and to provide regular status and assurance to the IT LT.
- Ensure information security controls are adequate, adhered to and maintained within the IT departments and external service providers of IT services to he client.
- Co-ordinate the regular IT security risk management.
- Champion the introduction and expansion of compliance monitoring capabilities.
- To identify, specify, communicate and participate in the development of optional extensions or additions to the security baseline.
- To review and monitor information security threats.
- To maintain "state of industry" knowledge of information security issues, technologies and trends. To actively seek out process and product improvement opportunities in security that will improve the business security performance.
- To lead and support security projects and implement new security technologies and solutions jointly with infrastructure and application teams.
- To ensure all staff receive information security training and awareness. To conduct regular training to IT staff on any new IS standards and ensure their awareness.
- Coach management and staff to understand their role in information risk management, helping ensure risks are understood and appropriately addressed.
- To represent the client security forums.
- Actively participate in external discussions on IRM topics, build a network of contacts.
- Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders and partners.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical:
Engineering degree or equivalent field/industry field.
- 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Expert level understanding of information security and IRM domain and environment.
- Demonstrate experience in technical authority position.
- Strong understanding of international industrial cyber security standards and ecosystem.

Leadership & Communication
- Recognised and respected leader, able to influence without direct line management control. Track record of leading, coaching and developing others.
- Demonstrates the ability to drive change across a complex organisation.
- Able to work with complex, ambiguous and incomplete information and leading others through uncertainty.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
- is effective, skilled and persuasive in both written and oral communication (Arabic advantage)
- Demonstrated passion and interest for the subject matter.
