The Role:
Our leading client is currently seeking a Information Specialist (Planning & Reporting) based in Qatar.

To introduce and sustain enhanced models and systems for planning and reporting, addressing the delivery and handover of technical and non-technical information from projects, and across the Venture Group.

Develop and configure reporting system and templates for project deployment, to address planned versus actual data for:
o Contract Deliverables (0, 14, 30, 60, 90, etc. day)
o Engineering, procurement and construction deliverables
o DFO progress
o Stewardship transfer of DFO and non-DFO

Consolidate and incorporate PMT reports into the Portal (Sharepoint) for a management-level dashboard, in collaboration with DA-IT section
Provide guidance and training to projects on reporting requirements
Expedite reports from all projects
Monitor Contractor systems for reporting and measure actual reports for data accuracy and consistency
Develop IM requirements for input to Project Objectives and Strategy Statements, early Project Execution Plans, Project Execution Plans, IM Contract Exhibits and Project Information Plans.
Maintain roadmap and toolkit for IM and IT Strategic direction from Project Conceptual Study Phase, FEED, EPC Project Execution and Handover.
Define Project IM Stewardship Plans for project Close-out and handover to Operations for DFO and non DFO deliverables.
Develop departmental planning and reporting tool, in Microsoft Project, for integration with Portal (Sharepoint) and roll-out within organization
Capture and analyse planning data for Data Administration department’s activities (Microsoft Project/ Sharepoint)
Measure Data Administration department’s actual progress versus yearly plans and objectives
Assign resources, in consultation with Data Administration Manager and section heads
Link Microsoft Project tasks to individual desktops through integration with Microsoft Outlook
Provide analysis of weekly reports, highlighting areas of concern and providing recommendations for recovery
Contribute to the overall governance of business processes
Contribute IM reporting requirements to contractual documents for FEED and EPC agreements (e.g. Project Instructions)
Consult and inform stakeholders in collaboration with the Documentation Advisor
Develop and deliver presentation materials to support initiatives

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
University degree or diploma
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of planning, reporting and information management, preferably within the Oil & Gas Industry
Strong experience in the use of planning tools and systems for the aggregation of planning data
Excellent Communicator, fluent written and spoken English, superior presentation skills
