The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
The Infotainment department are responsible for the realisation of the UI for all vehicle graphical displays including a number of smartphone applications. Our aim is to deliver a well-structured UI that is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable to operate. This ensures the user needs minimal learning to use the systems full potential. Our aim is to seamlessly integrate the UI into the interior design of the vehicle to the standards that are expected by owners.

Due to the increasing complexity of the vehicle infotainment, increased functionality placed in the UI and the increasing number of screens and apps we require additional graphical support to deliver future projects

Daily business

- Creation of concepts together with our Styling department for delivering a consistent user interface on all of the displays within the vehicles, to the company DNA, using industry standard software for new projects as well as maintaining existing vehicles & systems.
- Creating pixel perfect production assets to the supplier with a high level of consistency and quality to the methods agreed with the supplier for a given project.
- Generating supporting documentation for the production assets and concepts, for example StyleGuides and presentations.
- Working in a way that ensures that all of the assets and other elements are reusable and consistent across projects - maintaining a company standard.
- Able to work effectively in a cross functional team includes contacts to the styling and other functional departments, as well as relevant outside companies during the concept and/or realisation phase, including Group colleagues.
- Supporting other functions with images, assets and screenshots where required.
- Collaborating on user experiences and planning
- Performing other duties as assigned

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Direct experience designing graphical assets is expected
Good Communications skills at all levels

Appropriate Design Degree or Masters.
Proven experience working as a designer with evidence of design production or conceptual projects that have been undertaken and/or managed

Proficient at visualisation using Photoshop, Illustrator, and a good understanding of 3DMax, Maya or equivalent
Required to manage projects with the ability to meet required deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and team development skills
Knowledge of CSS & web/app based style guides beneficial
UX/UI Prototyping beneficial
