The Company:
My client, is a leading global energy service provider, delivering technical assurance through non-destructive testing, inspection, and certification to the capital-intensive, high-risk energy, utility and infrastructure industries in every region of the world.

The Role:
The area inspector’s role is crucial to the integrity of the plant in the One Gas West field of the Southern North Sea, where my client acts as a contractor to Shell and to the AJS consortium which supports Shell.

Based at Yarmouth with responsibilities for both the Bacton plant and offshore assets, the role is for a category 2 UKAS RG2 inspector of pressure systems. The job involves planning and supervising of inspection and NDT activity in accordance with Shell’s established procedures and liaising with my client to get the work done in a timely and professional manner. Development, coaching and training of NDT and inspection staff is an important part of the role as is the review of inspection reports for further action.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have considerable experience of pressure systems inspection, possess some form of higher education (though university degree is NOT mandatory) and will have considerable personal attributes notably in analytical thinking, communications and personal integrity as well as, above all being safety focused in everything that they do.
