The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
You will be responsible for Inspection of Pressurised Equipment to meet the requirements of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations. You will be expected to manage your own workload, interact with clients and be responsible for timely delivery of inspections in accordance with our client's UKAS approved inspection procedures.

Requirements:

Qualified to Incorporated Engineer status e.g. Degree or HNC/D Mechanical you will have experience of working safely with pressure systems. Suitable backgrounds include Engineering Surveyors, None Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians, Plant Maintenance Engineers, Marine Engineers etc.
Duties of this role include:

• Preparing and reviewing Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
• Identifying preparation requirements from the WSE
• Examination in accordance with the WSE
• Undertaking simple NDT – ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant
• Coordination of NDT providers for extensive requirements or specialist methods,
• Preparation of clear reports including photographs
• Assessment of deterioration
• Reviewing fitness for service assessments and drawing conclusions
• Coordinating repairs.
• Participation in Risk Based Inspection studies

You will need to be physically fit as this role involves working at heights and in confined spaces. A full UK driving licence is required and you must be willing to work away from home on occasions. Occasional weekend and out of hours working may be required for which overtime is paid.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of working with high hazard plant in the oil and gas or chemical sectors.
• Experience of pressure vessel or piping design
• Experience of managing work and people
