The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
•Provide inspection support and perform API 510/ 570 inspection. Backfill for unit inspector when required
•Perform risk assessment for providing justification for follow up inspection/ repair based on inspection results, strong familiarity with API 580 risk based methods
•Perform simple, statistical or other advanced evaluations (AR/T) of thickness data to determine corrosion rates and remaining life
•Provide functional guidance to NDE crew, ensure they work in accordance with company safety requirements, perform QA/QC checks on inspection results received
•Ocassionally, supervise complex weld repairs on Vessels, Furnaces etc., develop repair execution plan
•Analyze corrosion data, update inspection records and inspection files after inspections are complete
•Work with maintenance organization to resolve issues related to inspection, piping or fixed equipment, Initiate waivers / deviations as per request from maintenance
•Develop specifications for special or unique inspections or techniques (e.g. Hot UT, Boiler Tube UT, Shear Wave, Phased Array etc.), with assistance from the Metallurgist
•Work with TSSA inspector to resolve regulatory/statutory related issues
