Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. The Role:

•This post sits within a project team responsible for the management and delivery of a £2bn Oil & Gas Development Project situated West of Shetland in the UKCS. This Project forms a new development hub for the Company and is therefore of high strategic importance.
•To support the Installation & Construction Coordinator in the technical execution of the contract, to ensure the project deliverables are in accordance with the Contract, company Management Procedures and Project Schedule.
•The main challenge in this position is to ensure that project activities are carried out according to the Company rules and procedures and that the confidentiality of the information is maintained at the level required. The identification and adoption of best practices in engineering and project execution is an important objective of the role, as is the development of strong and positive relationships with Installation & Construction Coordinator team members, and the Installation Contractor.


•Responsible for the Installation technical aspects of the project with particular attention to the installation of structures, spools and flexibles, from detailed engineering to handover, and accepts responsibility for actions
•Demonstrate commitment to SHE through Personal Safety Performance Contract
•Pro-actively manage the contract Scope of Work
•Pro-actively liaise with Technology, Vendors, Operations, Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Drilling and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the project
•Actively contribute to the resolution of interfaces
•Prepare and present Technical dossiers
•Control and approve, when appropriate, the specifications, requisitions, design procedures, layouts, arrangements and cause & effect charts
•Coordinate Marine Warranty Surveyor activities associated with the Coordinate mobilisation and offshore installation of SURF assets
•Assist with the preparation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up activities
•Obtain validation of the design
•Assist with preparation of authorities applications for authorisations and consents
•Positively represent the Company at Supplier premises, sites and on vessels if appropriate, during offshore construction, as and when required
•Develop effective and constructive relationships with Supplier representatives in a manner that enables a high level of value to be obtained
•Report and inform of any potential problems in a pro-active manner
•Continually seek learning opportunities to further their technical capability and openly share knowledge with other team members
•Accept delegation of authority from the Installation & Construction Coordinator

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree in an appropriate technical discipline preferred
•Significant project experience (planning, cost control, contracting, engineering, testing)
•Strong knowledge of Company, Group and statutory policies and procedures in relation to engineering, technology and project management
•Strong knowledge of design, construction, testing, commissioning and installation with offshore experience gained in the North Sea
•Ability to represent the Company both internally and externally at a senior level
•Specific aspects of knowledge:
-Subsea design codes & standards
-Marine operations using Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV)
-Lifting operations
-Techniques for managing multiple third party interfaces to a project
-Government regulations for notifications, authorisations, permitting and consents required for offshore operations
Experience with offshore lifting and installation supervision desirable.
