The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
Installation Manager Role overview:

Main purpose of the role:

A member of a multi-disciplined team to carry out installation activities in a safe and effective manner, in line with the Sellafield commissioning standard and supporting arrangements. Has the ability to act as a senior in a designated area, system or discipline.

Key responsibilities as a Installation Manager…
*To work with and provide support to Installation colleagues and personnel involved in other disciplines
*To work alongside other members of the project management department to:
*Promote a positive health and safety culture.
*To improve project delivery performance and to meet company targets.
*To achieve accurate recording of test results in an auditable manner to satisfy internal and external auditors
*To support the Head of Site and Commissioning Manager
*To comply with the Installation Framework & Supporting Procedures
*To comply with the Sellafield Limited Practices and local arrangements.

Position of the Installation Manager within the organisation:
*Reporting to the Head of Site Operations
*Interacting with senior stakeholder and client contacts
*Responsible for a multi-disciplined Installation team on site

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
*Holds an appropriate qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
*Has three years' experience in an installation environment
*Ability to chair a Installation panel when nominated by Head of Site Operations
*Able to undertake installation responsibilities from instigation to commissioning
*Demonstration of plant knowledge
*Initiation and implementation of Fault Records / Technical Queries
*Application of Temporary Installation Aids
*Witnessing of Test Activities
*Input to Risk Assessments.
*Ability to be a Nominated Person (Electrical, Control System, Mechanical)
