The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Your main responsibilities working Offshore as a Installation Vessel Lead will be:

- Serve as primary interface with Contractor Vessel Superintendent
- Oversee on-vessel Installation Technical Forepersons and Inspectors
- Responsible for on-vessel safety, quality, and incident response support
- Participate in on-board Risk Assessments and JSA development
- Ensure implementation of mitigation measures identified in Risk Assessments
- Responsible to oversee contractor adheres to approved procedures and ensure MOC process is implemented
- Implement field surveillance plans
- Steward implementation of site safety, quality, and emergency response plans
- Validate and endorse Contractor daily report including extra or reimbursable work and downtime
- Manage offshore technical forepersons and inspectors as needed
- Monitor vessel condition/readiness
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure specifications / approved procedures are followed

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 10 years offshore installation (pipelay and subsea) experience (including management of change, risk assessment processes and procedure reviews)
- Minimum 5 years offshore installation vessel supervisory experience working as Client Representative on Oil and Gas Projects, with 1 year experience as Vessel Lead supervising Installation Technical Forepersons and Inspectors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and common E-mail systems
- Fluent English

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to obtain an industry accepted Basic Safety/Survival Training
- Must be able to obtain valid Offshore Medical
- Must be able to obtain Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) or Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
