The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
Operating within the internal University team, the successful candidate will be tasked with delivering both standard and customer specific training courses. The role will include supporting the introduction of the latest technologies and retaining knowledge on traditional systems both of which are essential to support the training and development needs of my clients external and internal customers. The internal University team has a strong reputation within the Global University community and the position will present opportunities to travel, instruct, consult, coach and develop courseware within the Global training community.

Key duties will include:

• Developing new and existing course material
• Working with project groups to develop “tailored” training courses
• In addition to instructing the role will include coaching, consulting & direct support to other internal business units with technical challenges that are within instructor’s specialist area of knowledge
• Further develop training and competence management systems; i.e. eLearning, on-line competency assessment and implementation of a certification system.
• Represent the company as an Instructor, operating as part of the Global University network
• Real world experiences of the “True Cost of Poor Quality”, a strong desire to address these issues from within the University through formal, and informal, education techniques.
• Desire to develop a single home for technical training in the UK - working within a core and extended team supporting the integration of internal technologies.
• Primary function is providing instructor lead courses in the UK and overseas on automation systems and products.
• Development of new solutions incorporating e-Learning modules, on-line assessment and evaluation to meet customer’s competence management needs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Detailed knowledge and track record in one or more of the following areas;
• Process control and safety systems (DCS)
• Communication protocols / Information Technology
• Project execution methodology
• Demonstratable experience in a hands on Engineering role
• Results orientation
• Ability and desire to learn new products and technologies
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent Communication skills
