The Company:
A major Oil and Gas Operator in Houston, TX

The Role:
This position will provide expertise and direction in the design, procurement, installation, commissioning and operation for Automation and SCADA systems for onshore oil & gas production and processing facilities.


Instrumentation & Automation: Extensive experience in the design & operation of process control systems, process safety systems and fire & gas systems, DCS's, PLC's, HMI systems, process historian, SCADA, alarm management, meters and flow computers, transmitters, control room design, RTUs, data communications, compressor controls, various communication protocols

Leadership: Experience in leading engineers and technicians in the development of project execution plans, team member selection. Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communications and teaming skills

Project & Development: Experience in design of SCADA systems. Operating procedures, alarm management, control room management, testing, commissioning, start-up of E&I systems. Scheduling, budget, cost control and reporting

• Extensive HSEC experience in relation to the Automation and SCADA function

• Training and mentoring role for Automation, E&I engineers, Electricians and Instrument & SCADA Technicians

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline required, degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

Minimum 10 years industry related experience

Strong technical knowledge in Instrument, Automation and Electrical systems. Proven design, construction, commissioning and operational background.

BS degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering required, MS or advanced degree desirable.
