The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. This position is on the Upstream team for a multi billion dollar LNG project.

The Role:
The Instrument & Control Engineer will support the design work including Safety Instrument Systems, Alarm Management and other design support roles mainly associated with the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).

The incumbent will be expected to assist with the factory acceptance test of the ICSS.

The position is primarily located in Perth and reporting to the Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer.
• As a member of a multifunctional project team, this role is to assist the Lead I&C engineer with the instrumentation & controls design for the upstream development comprising a central processing platform and Subsea developments.

The contract position will apply for the duration of the detailed engineering and will involve the following:
• Assist the lead I&C engineer with the management of the Safety Instrument System (SIS) and Alarm Management processes and procedures, ensuring they meet corporate requirements.
• Assist the lead I&C engineer with Main Automation Contractor (MAC) processes and procedures, ensuring the design of the main Integrated Control & Safety System (ICSS) meet project requirements and corporate standards.
• Assist with ICSS definition processes such as: SOA, AOA, GOA, COA & SimOA.
• Assist the lead I&C engineer with queries related to major package interfaces to the ICSS, in particular the Subsea Control System (SCS), and ensure action items are completed.
• Attend safety, discipline, vendor and project meetings.
• Assist with the review of fit-for-purpose specifications, design drawings and packaged equipment design documents. Ensure the I&C design meet project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, also project objectives of operability, maintainability, reliability, and life cycle cost are met.

This job located in Perth with occasional visits to other locations within S.E.Asia.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous Instument & Controls experience.
Familiarity with SIS and Alarm Management.
Database experience would be an advantage.
Team player
