The Role:
• High Educational Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in specific area.
• Capable to resolve complex issues related to the PFU project engineering. Wide use and application of more complex engineering principles and concepts in assigned specialty.
• Has knowledge of principles and techniques in other related disciplines.
• Effectively applies project /field management skills.
• An experience in Oil and Gas industry is preferable.
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and demonstrate strong team and project management capabilities.
• Experience and understanding of Capital Project Drivers (Safety, Project processes and procedures).
Position Description:
The discipline engineers’ positions of the project are Civil Engineer, Mechanical / Piping Engineer, Electrical Engineer and Instrumental/Control Engineer. The positions are in the TCO project team, working alongside the engineering contractor’s team, and are based in the engineering contractor offices. Discipline engineers provide detailed technical input to the design and procurement activities based on their field of expertise. The positions are not responsible for carrying out engineering work, but are responsible for checking the technical accuracy of specific design details.
Job Functions:
• Provide technical input to the engineering effort.
• Actively seek cost and scheduling saving opportunities shoring; concrete form and bar guidelines; concrete characteristics and testing procedures.
• Review design documents issued by engineering contractors.
• Review vendor documents.
• Reviews CTR’s and provide input to project engineers on content and manhours estimates.
• Work closely with contractors lead engineers to ensure work is properly assigned to meet project schedule and priorities.
• Review contractors proposed personnel to ensure they are suitably qualified /experienced for the role they are performing.
• Monitor work performed and manhours expended.
• Participate in progress measurement of deliverables.
• Provide cost and scheduling saving initiatives.
• Communicate with contractor TCO’s technical expectations and ensure contractor understands Company specifications.
• Participate in technical reviews.
• Participate in Contractors IDC reviews.
• Review any incoming queries and coordinate response with contractor.
• Review any proposed deviations and manage the approvals of the proposed deviations
• Interface with TCO technical staff (PCO, FE and etc) to ensure TCO’s technical needs are being met.
The Discipline Engineer is responsible for:
• Proper execution of his job functions, provided by the job description, within the limits of applicable ROK legislation;
• Proper material use
