The Company:
A major operator is looking for an Instrument, Controls & Electrical Engineer for a PART TIME position in a terminal construction project.

The Role:
Role Summary
A member of the Project Team, reporting to the Engineering Mgr, responsible for the delivery of control system, instruments and electrical power distribution scopes on the Project.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Support project delivery and assurance in accordance with project philosophies, standards and specifications.
- Lead the work with Contractors on controls systems specification. This shall cover BPCS, SIS control systems and associated instruments, Communication and Data exchanges hardware and softwares
- Responsible for the development and implementation on control system architecture and specification in close coordination with the process engineer.
- Specify and assure fiber optic system linking the jetty and the terminal. It needs also to assure responsibility for the integration of the fiber optic and all the controls architecture with the existing system inside the Depot terminal
- Specify the Electrical supply and distribution requirements for the jetty, and the pipeline (for cathodic protection current needs), and all the necessary interface with the Depot terminal and the grid suppliers.
- Specify testing and commissioning of all instruments, fieldbus and controls systems.
- Work closely with the Depot terminal engineers and construction leads in scoping and verifying actual testing of systems
- Develop Cause and Effects diagrams in collaboration with the project’s process engineer
- Engineer shall develop risk studies and SIS lifecycle plan.
- Attend HAZOP’s sessions and assist the follow-up of ensuring actions implemented in design through full closure.
- Define and undertake technical review of Contractor ‘s design deliverables in this discipline area.
- Participate in technical bid reviews; providing input during procurement and testing of equipment. Particularly verification of head losses in loading arms and through pumps.
- Provide leadership on HSSE issues to deliver HSE goals. Ensure adherence to the company rules.
- Provide guidance on appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks.
- Provide assistance in the development of Project Reliability Assurance and Knowledge Plan.
- Participate in project reviews and ensure they are effective and address all appropriate process and design safety design.
- Provide the present discipline expertise for Management of Change (MoC).

Please keep in mind that this is a PART TIME position (66% - 3 days worked per weeks)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Desirable to be professional qualified.
5yrs+ experience in Instrument, Controls and Electrical disciplines.
The candidate would also need strong interpersonal and influencing skills and be able to identify and tackle issues with a range of stakeholders.

Ability to work in both French and English languages is highly desirable.
