The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My operator client is currently accepting applications for an Instrument Coordinator position, FIFO to Barrow Island on a 52 days on, 18 days off rotation. This position is open to overseas candidates.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and lead a team of instrument technicians
• Provide field instrumentation expertise to assure all commissioning deliverables meet the required specifications and quality standard expectations of Chevron and its Joint Venture Partners.
• Endorses procedures for the commissioning of Gorgon field instruments on BWI.
• Endorses procedures and work processes to ensure a successful Gorgon implementation of Foundation Fieldbus type instrumentation
• Champions field instrument diagnostic and configuration tools for the Gorgon project in order to optimise the efficiency and quality of pre-commissioning work
• Witnesses pre-commissioning and commissioning testing of field instruments, control and safety systems on BWI.
• Witnesses pre-commissioning and commissioning testing of vendor package control systems (turbomachinery controls, compressor controls, rotating equipment condition monitoring etc) outside of the main automation contractor scope.
• Coordinates and helps develop work list for instrumentation commissioning activities using the project completions database
• Monitors completions status in relation to field instrumentation and instrument systems delivery
• Monitors quality of relevant instrumentation and instrument system document deliverables.
• Recommends improvement initiatives both safety and technical and follows through within sphere of indirect influence to assure implementation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Intermediate Level Computing Skills – Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, Power Point
• Must have at least 15 years of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning experience in a Refinery, Gas Plant or Petrochemical Complex
• Mega project experience
• Supervisory experience
