The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
My operator Client is welcoming applications for an Instrument Engineer (B2B) for a 6 month contract, FIFO to Barrow Island on a 28/28 rotation.

Key Job Responsibilities

15% Instrumentation Support Responsibilities
•Member of a multi-functional execution project team responsible for planning, coordination, field supervision and engineering input relating to all instrument equipment for the three-train LNG plant.
•Ensures facilities are built and installed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and that applicable project safety and environmental instructions are being followed.
•Supports project assurance efforts to ensure scope of work is completed in accordance with project requirements within Instrumentation area of responsibility.
•Effectively manages and controls change.

15% Health, Safety, Environment and Quarantine (HSEQ)
•Manages the day-to-day interface with contractors (including craft labour), monitoring (and providing leadership) on safety, environment and quarantine together with quality and engineering aspects. Monitors compliance as required.
•Commits to and champions the development and implementation of a safe working environment for everyone on the project and the continuing establishment of an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
•Participates in the site Total Safety Task Observation (TSTO), Step Back 5X5 and Hazard Intervention and Reporting Card (HIRC) processes.

30% Instrumentation Construction Support
•Ensures compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans through interaction with the contractor.
•Assists QA/QC as requested for the verification of procured instrumentation equipment post-site arrival. Assists in the conduct of Quality audits.
•Provides oversight of contractor’s materials management and verification systems. Verifies post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment.
•Monitors workforce productivities and progress relative to schedule.
•Liaises with the contractor for field level changes, for example to scope or cost.
•Serves as the point of liaison with the Site Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendant to resolve emerging issues.
•Assists in defining and providing acceptance of Performance Test acceptance criteria.

15% Completion and Commissioning Support
•Provides pre-commissioning mechanical completion oversight and verification support.
•Monitors the mechanical completion phase and participates in the transition to final hook-up and commissioning phases.
Document Control
•Acts as a key focal point for engineering site instructions and engineering requests.
•Acts as the focal point for electrical engineering drawings, as-built drawings and construction dossiers.
•Assists the Engineering Manager to ensure effective project closeout, including documentation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In consideration of this the minimum requirements include:
•Degree qualified instrumentation engineer or equivalent experience,
•10+ years site construction experience, primarily focused on instrumentation and process control aspects,
•Competency in the use of common computer systems and software,
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and an understanding of instrumentation construction management, sequencing and methodologies, and
•Well developed communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
•Additionally, good knowledge of LNG construction is preferable.
