They work globally employing over 20,000 people on major operations including the UK

The Role:
•To take a pro-active role in producing the Instrument Deliverables required for Central Engineering Projects in accordance with agreed manhours and project schedules.
•Taking direction from the Central Engineering Lead Instrument Engineer and/or Senior Instrument Engineers regarding project document requirements, delivery schedule and project instrument resources.
•Design of instrumentation, control systems and safety systems for onshore / offshore Oil and Gas Facilities in the UK / North Sea.
•Specification of field instrumentation and valves for use in hazardous areas including pressure, flow, level, temperature, fire & gas detectors, control valves, shutdown valves and pressure relief valves.
•Specification of modifications to existing Distributed Control Systems, ESD Systems, Fire & Gas Systems and Fiscal Metering Systems.
•Generation of Instrument Indexes, I/O Schedules, Alarm and Trip Schedules, Cause & Effect Charts, Instrument Data Sheets, SDRLs and Material Requisitions.
•Input to P&ID development and multi-discipline package specifications.
•Attendance at HAZOP and SIL Assessments.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Control & Instrumentation Engineering or in a closely related subject.
•Sufficient command of the English language to enable generation of high quality technical specifications.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
•Knowledge of ATEX, PED and IEC 61508
