The Role:
Job Purpose

To supervise and coordinate scheduled and corrective maintenance for field instrumentation and control systems. Ensure that the activities will be in compliance with Company Maintenance Management System and Kazakhstan legislation. Proactive approach is expected to maintain technical integrity and avoid downtime. Participation in trouble shouting to resolve any technical issues in a structured way.

Job Accountabilities:
• Ensuring the provision of adequate resources to carry out the activities in the onshore plants e.g. special tools and materials for the technicians and/or additional specialist maintenance support
• Planning and execution of all instrumentation related maintenance to ensure system availability targets are achieved / exceeded.
• Complete permit-to-work requirements
• Initiate and develop specific procedures, work instructions, work plans, inspection and testing schedules within the maintenance management system and ensures compliance by subordinates.
• Supervise quality of work done by of the maintenance Contractors and their respect of time scheduling
• Managing all the Control and Instrument Protective systems maintenance, modifications and documentation activities cost effectively, whilst maintaining the highest level of HSE performance and optimum levels of integrity and reliability within approved budget and availability targets.
• Assist in troubleshooting and analysis of system maintenance strategy and systems’ hardware and software problems. Contribute to defect elimination by participating in Root Cause Analysis studies.
• Ensure the reliability and integrity of the systems hardware, software and applications through development of maintenance strategies by the application of reliability centered maintenance techniques and establish control.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with company HSE policy, companies’ management of change procedures and work permit system.
• Continually strives to improve plant operability, efficiency and throughput
• Be fully conversant with SAP PM to be able to use the systems to co-ordinate and execute work and ensure history data is entered and maintained. Update all PM and work records to accurately reflect current status. Use the maintenance management system to co-ordinate, distribute and execute work and ensure history data is entered and maintained.
• Utilise appropriate documentation such as work instructions and procedures, PEFS & diagrams. Maintain all Instruments related documentation up to date
• Report and advise of any abnormal or potential failure of equipment that could lead to unsafe conditions.
• Establish, under supervisions of the senior systems engineer, systems maintenance spare parts requirements. Support the procurement of these spare parts and set up spare parts management system in SAP.
• Report daily activities, provide input to safety meetings, and report any defects or deviations to line management. Compiling, completing and submitting of reports and documentation to the required standards and at the relevant frequency

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Diploma / Qualification in Electronic/electrical disciplines
• Minimum 6-8 years experience in Instrument Maintenance activities in Oil and Gas Industry to have included:
- knowledge of typical measurement techniques and instrument type
- knowledge of most used technologies relevant automatic control and actuators
- experience in DCS, structure and utilisation of signals, redundancy techniques, software control
- knowledge of data transmission, network ( Field bus, Profi bus, etc)
- capacity of advanced diagnostic on instrumental devices and equipment
- Emergency shutdown systems and applications. IPF methodology, IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
- knowledge of operating and maintenance of instrumental Workshop equipment and tools
- capacity in cost evaluation and monitoring activities
- knowledge in preventive/predictive instrumental maintenance techniques
- contractors management ability
