The Role:
Principal Accountabilities:

1.Assist in planning and conducting maintenance on plant field instrumentation to meet high on stream availability, reliability and plant integrity.
2.To supervise & execute the HEMP and Safety Critical Activities in accordance to specific performance standard as per GAS GAME processes for safe and reliable operation. Refer to CA list and SCE list.
3.Assist to review and issues work orders and determine maintenance and repairs priorities in consultation with the Operations and Maintenance Coordinator.
4Providing technical supports and advice to other engineering disciplines, operation and technology in the diagnosis and investigation on plant problems.
5.Ensure that safe working practices and conditions are adhered to at all times. Ensures that maintenance work is carried out in a safe manner and strictly adhering with Company HSSE system and procedures along with good housekeeping practices. Participates in regular safety and housekeeping audits and ensure actions are diligently implemented.
6.Assist in maintaining and continuously updating the computerised maintenance management system SAP for recording of instrument maintenance data, creating and maintaining an efficient maintenance environment. Ensures all maintenance documentation is completed correctly, particularly the maintenance log type of fault, works carried out and time, labour and materials used in SAP.
7.Assist in maintaining up to date documentation and data bases of Instrument data sheets, loop diagrams and instrument circuit diagrams using the smartplant and Cornerstone retrieval.
8.Assist in planning and organizing instrument field activities during major shutdown. Responsible for the development of preventive and routine maintenance schedules, ensuring that all maintenance is carried out during planned shutdowns and that all standby units are fully operational.
9.Ensures all monthly IPF preventative maintenance tasks are completed as per schedule in SAP & are executed as per approved work instructions, followed by correct job closure with full documentation in place. Also ensures adequate history capturing of repairs and cause of failure for failed tests. In the event of a schedule non compliance, ensures timely approval is obtained for deferrals as per the approved procedure.
10.Optimize the utilization of spare parts and material replacement stocking for field instrumentation. Reviews inventories of spare parts and materials in SAP to ensure availability, issues and prepares purchase requisitions for spare parts according to the Company's Procedures.
11.Keep abreast with development in technology in the field of Instrumentation, continuously searching for Best Practices in field maintenance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
1.Diploma or Certificate in electrical, electronic or instrument engineering with at least 10 years working experience in field instrumentation in a Petrochemical or Oil and Gas Refinery environment.
2.In depth knowledge and skill of Conventional Instrument maintenance and repair.
3In depth knowledge and skill of IPF methodology and IPF testing practices.
4.Conversant with the full integration of control system with IPS and other instrument sub systems.
5.Applicant should be technically conversant with process controls with proven knowledge and should have proven exposure to modern refinery systems and business processes.
6.Good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization. The ability to work across the multi cultural society of Malaysia.
