The Role:
This role is a 3/3 rotation. Work location - Shetland

Mission
• To supervise, and control the project ESPCC Contractor in all Instrumentation activities in order to ascertain that the plant will be built as per Company General Specifications, Project’s drawings, specifications and procedures, and within budget and schedule.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the SHE Policy, Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards, actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
Activities
• Assist the assist the Construction Site Representative to ensure compliance with projects Safety objectives throughout the life of the project.
• Monitor Contractor and Subcontractors in all Instrumentation activities. Scrutinise technical compliance of works and equipment with Company General Specifications, Project’s drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Ensure that in addition to quality and good engineering practice, planning and cost are a permanent concern.
• To maintain good relationships with Contractors, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
• To liaise with Other disciplines, Safety, Cost, Planning and Administration sections to improve effectiveness of Team
• Keep the Construction Site Representative informed of all events which may affect the successful completion of the project goals.
• Act as primary Instrumentation Representative on site ensuring that ESPCC Contractor is fully conversant with all Company project Instrumentation related standards and procedures.
• Manage the following Site Instrumentation interfaces and ensure that Company / Project standards and procedures are fully aligned:
o Company & ESPCC Contractor
o ESPCC Contractor / Sub-contractors
o Instrumentation Vendor representatives & construction site personnel
• Advise the Construction Site Rep and other Discipline Superintendents on all aspects of Instrumentation Management and ensure that interfaces with other disciplines are managed effectively.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Typically 15 years or more relevant international project construction experience – Onshore or Offshore
• HNC or equivalent trade indentures and qualifications – i.e City and Guilds /BTEC in Instrumentation or Electronic/Electrical engineering,
• Awareness of other discipline construction processes.
• Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline with a good knowledge of relevant International standards and codes.
• In depth knowledge of Company E&P General Specifications a distinct advantage.
• Significant responsibility in multi-discipline teams or projects.
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Valid Medical Certificate which complies with Company Standards.
• Valid UK Driving Licence or equivalent international driving licence.
• Comp-ex certification mandatory.
