The Role:
oDeputise for Instrument Technical Authority.
oProvide technical support to the Operations Team in the resolution of instrument systems and equipment integrity and operational issues.
oPlan and arrange vendor support visits and coordinate any subsequent follow up activities.
oArrange discipline materials and spares supply and agree onshore repair workscopes.
oProvide support to the Instrument Technical Authority regarding the competency assurance process for discipline technicians where appropriate.
oPlan and manage maintenance, inspection and upgrade campaigns where directed.
oManage onshore overhauls and attend repair facilities for interface and witness activities as appropriate.
oManagement of 3rd party instrument and control equipment support contracts.
oCarry out maintenance and spares reviews where required.
oProvide technical support to loss investigations and action follow up activities where directed.
oMaintain the lifecycle technical integrity of the offshore installations by ensuring appropriate maintenance and integrity strategies, engineering standards, procedures and guidance documents are adhered to in all activities.
oAssess performance and condition monitoring results, ensuring appropriate follow up.
oSupport the Technical Authority in the assessment of anomalies, deviations from standard and maintenance deferrals, developing risk mitigations and producing technical reports where appropriate.
oSingle point of accountability for discipline modifications and management process improvements where directed.
oProvide support to the Technical Authority in the review of design documentation, technical reports and management system documentation where directed.
Scope of equipment covered includes field instrumentation, process control and shutdown systems, fire and gas detectors/systems, actuated & control valves, shutdown & blowdown valves.
Scope encompasses equipment from the wellhead wing valves and includes the import or export pipeline safety valve boundaries.
