The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
My operator client currently has a requirement for a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer - Offshore. This will be a permanent, operational position and based in my client's Perth office. To maintain, implement, analyse, control and ensure all instrumentation and Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) and activities are developed, planned, and executed.

Technical Expertise Required

PRE-OPERATE PHASE 
Responsible for the specification, clarification and implementation instrumentation and ICSS for the Onshore LNG Trains, Utilities and power plant. 
Participate in technical reviews and HAZOP studies. Provide technical guidance on design criteria and technical standards. 
Responsible for specifying, negotiating and recommending support contracts for major Vendors in the asset. 
Provide technical support and monitoring during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing and installation of operated to the standards required to satisfy legislative and operational requirements and subsequent maintenance activities; including ICSS FAT’s scheduled in Singapore 
Participate in peer reviews of technical integrity deviations associated instrument equipment 
Assist in development of the instrumentation and ICSS equipment maintenance and spares holding programs within IMC 
Equipment package reviews and acceptance 
Contribute to equipment preservation plans 
Develop a detailed commissioning and life of field support and healthcare plans to maintain instrumentation and ICSS performance

OPERATE PHASE 
Provide Tier 1 level support to the Operations group 
Scope, tender and manage small brownfield developments for instrumentation and ICSS projects. 
Responsible for confirming equipment and system performance is within the Operating Envelop 
Responsible for compliance with the Operations Management Systems 
Responsible for ensuring all modifications follow the Technical Change Management System 
Responsible for identifying and managing opportunities during the “Assess” and “Select” phases 
Participate in shutdown planning and maintenance campaigns to ensure all instrumentation and ICSS equipment is performing within agreed tolerances and operated to the standards required to satisfy legislative and operational requirements 
Responsible for continuous evaluation of instrumentation and ICSS performance to minimize deviations and equipment failure. 
Establishing performance monitoring programs 
Trouble shooting and investigation of failures utilizing root cause analysis. 
Use of Reliability Centred Maintenance to optimize maintenance tasks 
Ensure “real-time” data is available to the Enterprise

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
5+ years experience in supporting oil and gas operations with experience in instrumentation and ICSS supporting roles.
Major project design/operations experience would be advantageous. 
Broad experience of automation, safety system and instrumentation, in particular the requirements of AS61508 and AS61511 
