The Role:
We are currently recruiting for Instrument Technicians to work at our clients site based at Seal Sands. The role will involve the following:

Assist the supervisor or planner or client in job stepping / task estimating / procedure development

Follow the schedule communicated by the planner

Isolation, removal, disassembly, overhaul, reassembly, replacement, testing and commissioning activities on instrumentation and control systems

Fault finding and fault rectification work on instrumentation and control systems

Routine, corrective, breakdown and condition based maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system / workpack / jobcard instructions

Providing it is safe to do so, deal with any minor issues that prevent completion of the task

Provide timely feedback to manager and / or plant operator of ongoing status or completion of the task. Where necessary prepare technical reports

Proactively seek additional tasks for yourself and your work group where time permits

Provide support to other trades / disciplines where it is safe to do so, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team

Participate in safety auditing with the supervisor or management

Undertake appropriate risk assessments in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner

Request and take out applicable Permit to Work (PTW) to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner

Assisting with the coordination of spare parts requirements and the optimisation of spares stack levels

Holding special responsibility for the maintenance of fire and gas detection and alarm systems

Inspection and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You will an experienced Instrument Technician from a similar background - you will have COMPEX certificates and a Safety Passport.
