The Company:
Our client is an state own company.

The Role:
The duties include but not limited to: i. Receives work assignments from senior/general instrument technician specifying fault finding, installation, preventative maintenance, breakdown repair, overhaul and other adhoc work requirement for the day to be carried out in workshop or at site. Reviews photo copies of work orders, obtains copies of instrument diagrams and loop sheets or other documentation, determines requirements with respect to test equipment, tools, spares, assistance, transport etc and plan jobs. ii. Carries out skilled on line fault finding work on a range of pneumatic, electrical & electronic control and trip systems, process analyzers, safety systems, control systems and other instrumentations and attends to complex or untraceable faults. Liaises with TD operations personnel to obtain details of the faults, checks the integrity of the operation of the individual instruments, test instrument loops involving work in plants or control rooms, examines other instruments installed on loop, inspects interfaces between pneumatic and electronic measurement and or data transmission devices. Refers to loop sheets, manufacturer’s manuals and other technical documentation as necessary to carry out work. He should also be familiar with various other modern control systems such as DCS. iii. Carries out PM work as planned by the maintenance management system. PM work typically consists of isolation removal, incite or shop overhaul, testing, calibration, re installation, loop and functional checks and re commissioning of the system or individual instrument. Performs PM work on individual field/ panel instrumentation or control system components belonging to DCS/ ESD/ F&G/ CCTV/ SCADA. iv. Installs new equipment or modifies existing instrumentation loops as per the design given by the supervisor, performs loop simulation as part of pre commissioning checks and assists the engineer in commissioning the system. v. Complete records of work performed and reports details of installation, workshop overhaul and repair, preventive maintenance and fault finding repair work carried out to the senior Instrument technician. Completes instrument calibration / loop test / repair report sheets. vi. Works on emergency standby / call out duty to attend to instrument and control system problems after working hours, exercises good house keeping, observes all QP fire and safety precautions. Reports sub standard condition of equipment or near misses of accidents or sub standard work performed by operations or any of the corporation’s employees.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
05 years experience in the installation, maintenance and overhaul of pneumatic, electrical and electronic instrumentation systems of various types and serving diverse purposes.
ii. Familiar with safety standards and regulations
