The Company:
Our client is a large Owner/Operator with their Canadian operations based out of Calgary, AB. They are one Canada’s largest integrated oil companies focusing on the exploration and production of oil, natural gas and sulphur. Their projects are located throughout Canada focusing on the Oil Sands, as well as Natural Gas extraction throughout Alberta and BC.

The Role:
•Journeyman Electrician/Instrument Mechanic with minimum 5 years field experience and 3 years planning experience using SAP
•Technologist with minimum 5 years of planning experience using SAP will be considered.
•Experience in planning for multiple crafts is preferred. (Electrical/Instrumentation).
•Previous Planning/Scheduling experience using SAP is required.
•Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
•Knowledge of maintenance business processes and best practices, roles of specific trades, and manufacturing processes in an Upgrader, Refinery or similar Petrochemical operation.
•Strong organizational and effective time management skills.
•Flexibility in managing changing priorities and ability to work with minimum supervision.
•Formal training in the following areas: Scheduling, Planning, Estimating, and Time Management are an asset.
•Must be willing and able to work in a strong team environment.
•Good communicator and effective at building and maintaining positive relationships.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Under the direction of the Planning Lead, the Planner is responsible for the planning of routine maintenance activities within the Blade 10 process (WPSE – Work Preparation Scheduling & Execution), client ’s Safe Work Practices and HSE guidelines as follows:

•The planner is to use best practices to assist with the development of preventative maintenance programs.
•Develop detailed work plans and produce high quality job packages for corrective and preventative maintenance work requests which includes but is not limited to the following:
oWalk down the work request to gather all information needed to produce a quality plan
oDetermine all resource requirements including components for the work requested.
oInteract with all key stakeholders/customers (maintenance, technical, operations, scheduling etc.).
oCreates, uses, and maintains plant history and other technical information to include in current job plans.
oEnsure the plans allow for the efficient assignment, scheduling
