The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
Principal Tasks:
Maintain an emphasis on safety, environment, strategic focus and reliability by individual personal leadership and by setting clear plan packages within the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Group

• Routine Maintenance
• Work with respective area Maintenance Leads & Operations Leads to develop high quality job packages for maintenance team.
• Support the Maintenance and Operations Coordinators in execution of the 7 step business process
• Review and Analyze all work orders
• Document the level of competency and type of resource required for execution
• Mandatory to visit job sites to scope in terms HSE requirements, method of execution, and resource management
• Estimate the cost to complete
• Identify, use and develop approved alternative approaches including costs
• Decide on repair approach
• Document and provide pictures, drawings, schematics or procedures as needed
• Sequence the steps and skills/crafts as required
• Determine Material Availability (requisition/order)
• Create and requisitions for materials and services.
• Utilize prior work plans that are applicable to job scope
• Create work package for activity

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Instrument or Electrical trade certificate recognized in Canada (Alberta).
• Dual certified is an asset
• CSTS, D&A Testing, OSSA Confined Space, OSSA Fall Protection
• Experienced Planner with 5-7 consecutive years with supporting trades background.
• Previous Planning/Scheduling experience involved in CMMS (central maintenance management systems). i.e. J.D.Edwards planning system and Primavera scheduling systems an asset.
• Strong computer skills within the MS Office environment. I.e. Excel, work, MS Project
