The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As the Instrumentation Engineer you will deliver a design that meets the requirements of the project in safety, reliability, operability and maintainability throughout its plant service life.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure Onshore LNG Facilities Instrumentation design minimizes the impact on the environment in line with project requirements.
• Have detailed understanding and knowledge of Instrumentation Field Engineering design including impact on ICSS, wiring, other engineering disciplines and the Asset Management System.
• Have knowledge and experience to specify and select Instrument and Control specifications and equipment.
• Support/advise the project team and Contractors on Supplier Package and instrumentation design, construction, hookup and commissioning of the Onshore LNG Plant to meet project requirements.
• Have detailed knowledge and experience to specify Field Instrumentation and interface with ICSS according to Project Requirements.
• Have understanding of the design aspects of other engineering disciplines including process, electrical, safety etc.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations as required.
• Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures.
• Organize, manage and control Third Party support studies as required.
• Conduct Inspection and Factory Acceptance Tests of Instrumentation and Control systems on behalf of the Company.
• Organize and plan technical discipline reviews as required.
• Any job specifically identified by the Engineering Manager to seek the technical completeness / organization of the discipline work.
• Direct/advise the EPC Contractor on all aspects of design, construction, installation and hookup and commissioning of the Instrumentation and Control system for Onshore LNG Facilities to meet project requirements.
• Control the detailed engineering performed by the EPC Contractor related to Field Instrumentation.
• Ensure project deliverables and activities associated with the Onshore LNG Facilities Instrumentation and Control System design are achieved in accordance with project milestone dates, budget and technical requirements of BOD.
• Support/advise the project team and the EPC Contractor on resolution of engineering queries and request for waivers.
• Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures.
• Support QA/QC Project staff and interfaces with EPC Contractor personnel.
• Participate in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, C-HAZOP, Design Reviews, Constructability Reviews etc as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary Engineering Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
• Min 10yrs experience with extensive experience in EPC Contractor engineering & procurement activities related to Instrumentation and control system of Onshore LNG / Oil and Gas processing Facilities.
• Demonstrated engineering experience in provision of fabrication, construction of onshore LNG projects.
• High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre-commissioning, installation, hookup and commissioning.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards and Suppliers and previous working experience in the Australian projects is preferable.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Excellent written skills in English.
Highly organized, self motivated results orientated person.
