The Role:
• Monitors and expedites Topsides construction, integration and completion activities (including preservation) carried out by contractor or subcontractors related to instrumentation discipline until FPSO sail away.
• Closely work with Topside instrumentation engineer, superintendent and supervisor.
• Assist in the review of Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and quality procedures and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any fabrication/construction work.
• Witness and monitor contractor/subcontractors work activities, inspection and test in accordance with the approved quality plan, ITP, quality procedure, rules, codes, standards, the approved drawing and etc.
• To witness Instrument Calibration at the Instrument laboratory/workshop if as required.
• Perform daily work duties, inspections, and tests under the direction of Supervisor/Superintendent
• Have skills and judgment to verify that quality standards are continuously maintained in line with specifications.
• Prepare of NCR, CAR, RIS (Repair Information Sheet) and queries in his discipline and monitor the proper clearance by contractor or subcontractors.
• Ensures that the construction equipment use in his discipline has valid certificates and is in fit for purpose and safe condition.
• Has an ability to loop, wiring and continuity check and records.
• Survey/monitor CTR’s workshops and subcontractor’s facility for well performance prior to work start. Reporting finding and/or recommendations if required.
• Conduct inspection of all instrument related activities and ensure installation is as per typical/project specifications and hook up drawing
• Having a good knowledge of receiving Inspection of Instrument Equipments, FF Cables, Signal Cables IS/NIS, Control Cables, F&G Cables etc.
• Compile and progress control of the punch items, outstanding items and major comment during fabrication and inspection.
• Fully assist to his management level e.g. construction progress, inspection status.
• When requested by management, will give support to other disciplines, as and when required.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years experience in Inspection of Instrumentation works for Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Construction Projects
• Available for any workshops and subcontractors visits in Korea
• Knowledge of international Code
• Language: Fluent English and Korean
• Computer literate.
• Communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
