The Company:
Our client is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, with activities in more than 130 countries.

The Role:
The main responsibilities are:
Assist the Project field engineering leader in the supervision of the engineering activities performed by the Contractor for his domain of competence.
Manage field instrumentation engineer for his domain of competences


Activities:
- Comment on time, CONTRACTOR engineering deliverable and make sure that CONTRACT requirements will be met.
- Expedite the CONTRACTOR to issue engineering deliverables with the right quality level and as per the approved MDR.
- Assess and review on regular basis the progress of the CONTRACTOR’s engineering deliverable by reviewing the MDRS for his discipline. Alert his hierarchy in case of CONTRACTOR under performance.
- Review and comment of documents that have been assigned to him and assist engineers in technical problem solving at all stage of work.
- Review and propose response to TQ, NCR and COR for project management approval.
- Perform regular visit at the WORKSITE. Inform field engineering leader of any concerns that might jeopardize the quality, the cost or the project schedule.
- Provide support to the construction team in development and resolution of technical findings.
- Assist preparation of Pre-commissioning/Commissioning activities
- Witness critical instrumentation Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities if required
- Provide support to the commissioning team in development and resolution of technical findings.
- Manage punch-list (from reviews or meetings) clearance that he has been assigned.
- Ensure his work is performed is consistent with other disciplines.
Liaise and keep DEV/TEC ML contact point updated on ongoing work and major issues faced. Seek for technical resolutions in compliance with projects constraints.
- Organize for his discipline weekly coordination meetings with the CONTRACTOR.
- Report weekly activities performed and attend to coordination meetings.


HSE Roles & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and effectively communicate Project HSE Policies.
- Proactively intervene where HSE deficiencies are identified and report.
- Being “visible in the field” and “walking the talk” with HSE as a priority.
- Attend Project HSE meetings, training and inspection as when invited to.
- Consult HSE team in the execution and planning of key critical activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Chartered Instrument engineer with min 8 to 10 years experience with instrumentation engineering follow-up within oil and gas project.
- English fluent.
